Southeast Asia’s First Real K-Pop Idol Experience for Young Performers

For millions of school students across Asia, K-pop is more than music.
It is creativity, discipline, performance, confidence, and aspiration.

Yet until now, there has never been a real K-pop camp in Southeast Asia designed to let young fans experience authentic Korean entertainment training in a safe, structured school environment.

This changes now.

The K-Pop Idol Experience at Epsom College Malaysia is the first-of-its-kind K-pop training camp in Southeast Asia, created with Korean entertainment professionals to give students an immersive journey into the world of K-pop performance.

This is not a dance workshop.

This is not a casual holiday activity.

This is a real K-pop performance experience!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need prior singing or dance experience?
Toggle

Not at all. The K-Pop Idol Experience is open to students of all ability levels, from complete beginners to experienced young performers. Every participant will be assessed by our Korean coaches upon arrival and placed into an appropriate training group based on their current skill level.

How is student safety and wellbeing managed during the residential programme?
Toggle

Student welfare is our highest priority. The programme is hosted within Epsom College Malaysia’s secure British boarding school campus, with 24/7 pastoral supervision, on-site medical support, experienced residential staff, structured daily schedules, and regular parent communication updates throughout the camp.

What will students actually achieve during the camp?
Toggle

Every student will participate in a complete K-pop performance journey, including vocal and dance training, performance development, group collaboration, and professional music video production. By the end of the programme, each participant will have contributed to a professionally produced K-pop performance video.

How does the Seoul Grand Prize work?
Toggle

At the end of the camp, each group’s professional music video will be entered into an official post-camp evaluation and social media voting process. The selected winning group will receive a fully paid 3-night, 4-day Seoul audition experience, including flights, accommodation, transfers, cultural immersion activities, and a professional audition opportunity.

What are the accommodation arrangements like at Epsom College?
Toggle

At Epsom College, campers are accommodated in same-gender boarding houses with shared rooms designed to foster a strong sense of community and belonging.

Roommates are assigned based on age, gender, and, where possible, shared interests or project tracks. We aim to create a comfortable and positive living environment where campers can relax, connect, and make new friends.

If your child is attending with a friend and they’d like to room together, you can indicate this during registration—we’ll do our best to accommodate requests. Our team also checks in regularly to ensure campers feel settled and supported throughout their stay.

What meals are provided, and can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Toggle

Meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner are served in buffet style and are provided throughout the camp. They are nutritious, balanced, and designed to cater to the needs of active, growing children.

Parents are asked to indicate any specific dietary requirements or restrictions during registration so that appropriate arrangements can be made in advance. If your child has complex dietary needs or severe allergies, we encourage you to reach out directly to our team so we can ensure their requirements are safely and fully met.

What should students bring for the camp?
Toggle

Families will receive a full pre-camp information pack, including packing lists, orientation details, check-in guidance, and all preparation information needed to ensure students arrive ready for the full K-pop Idol Experience.

What happens if my child becomes ill or injured during the camp?
Toggle

If a child becomes ill or injured during camp, they will be assessed and treated by qualified staff or referred promptly to a medical professional if needed. Parents or guardians will be notified as soon as possible in the event of any significant illness or injury or if external medical care is required.

The camp team will ensure that any medication or treatment needed is administered according to parental instructions and with proper documentation. Emergency contact details are kept on file and used when necessary to ensure timely communication and consent for care.

Is travel insurance required, and does the programme provide it?
Toggle

All campers are required to have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation or interruption, baggage loss, and personal liability. Parents are responsible for purchasing insurance for their children. We strongly recommend adding both travel and medical insurance as a precaution.

Are campers required to bring their own laptop/device?
Toggle

Our experienced pastoral team is trained to support younger students throughout their residential stay. Structured routines, supportive supervision, and scheduled communication opportunities help students settle in confidently and comfortably.
