Frequently Asked Questions

What safety measures are in place during travel and outdoor activities?
Student safety is our top priority. All travel within Malaysia is fully chaperoned, including domestic flights between Kuala Lumpur and Borneo. On-site, students are supervised by experienced educators and trained guides, with strict safety protocols in place for all outdoor excursions. Emergency support is available at all times, and activities are risk-assessed to ensure a secure yet enriching experience.
Who will be supervising the students throughout the camp?
Our dedicated team includes qualified teachers, programme leaders, and trained pastoral staff who are present throughout the 10-day journey. At Epsom College, students benefit from a structured boarding environment with round-the-clock support, while in Borneo, staff-to-student ratios are carefully maintained to ensure personalised care and attention.
What kind of accommodation and meals are provided?
Students stay in full-board accommodation at Epsom College in Malaysia and at a carefully selected 4-star hotel in Borneo. Both locations offer safe, comfortable lodging and nutritious meals with options to accommodate various dietary requirements. Campers enjoy a balance of structured routine and comfort, ensuring they feel supported and well-rested throughout.
Is this camp suitable for students with no prior experience in AI, entrepreneurship, or conservation?
Yes. The camp is designed for curious and motivated students aged 11–17, regardless of prior exposure to these subjects. Our workshops are accessible, engaging, and hands-on, with expert guidance every step of the way. Students are grouped by age and supported according to their skill level to ensure an inclusive and inspiring experience.
What should students bring with them, and what is included in the camp fee?
The all-inclusive fee covers accommodation, meals, learning materials, transportation within Malaysia, and all scheduled activities. Students are required to bring a personal laptop for coursework, appropriate clothing for outdoor exploration, and spending money for optional personal purchases. A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.
